Are the images rendered or partially rendered?

The skyboxes are all real-world photos without any alterations.

The first two pictures under "Impressions" are screen-captures from inside Unity with some nice models.

    Hi

First of all, a great 2022 to you!

I never heard of this app before, but it's the other way round. They are using our deprecated free version of FileBrowser:
    https://github.com/matryx/calcflow/tree/master/Assets/Plugins/crosstales

Therefore, you won't need any permission.

I hope this clarifies the situation.

    Cheers
    Stefan

    @Stefan-Laubenberger

Happy New Year and thank you for your answer.

    1. First Question
"Plugins/crosstales/Common" of "3D Skybox PRO - Swiss Freebies" is the same to
    "https://github.com/matryx/calcflow/tree/master/Assets/Plugins/crosstales/Common".
So, I thought that you use calcflow's source code and it needs to have a permission.
But you mean that FileBrowser is your code and
"https://github.com/matryx/calcflow/tree/master/Assets/Plugins/crosstales/Common" is included in FileBrower of yours?

Well, "https://github.com/matryx/calcflow/tree/master/Assets/Plugins/crosstales have 2 folders: Common and FileBrowser, and Both of them are yours, right?.
    Please check one more time.

    2. Second Question.
Also, I have one more question.
Can I remove "Plugins/crosstales/Common" of "3D Skybox PRO - Swiss Freebies"
and use "3D Skybox PRO - Swiss Freebies"?
When I do this, is there any legal issue?

    Thank you.

Here are the answers to your questions:
    1. Yes, it's our asset, that consists of a "Common" and "FileBrowser" folder
    2. You can remove the folder - the skyboxes are just textures. Maybe the demo scenes won't run properly, but as long as you use only the skyboxes, you should be fine

The images seem to be all washed out? (Like a grey filter over them) :(

Edit: Wait, maybe its the fact that these images are HDR and I'm using a VR device that does not support HDR (Quest 2)?

Yes, you may have to adjust the exposure or gamma settings (if linear isn't supported).

I have the same problem with the images being washed out (as if a grey filter is on them). My settings make it so the Linear color space is supported. Editing the exposure does not help as it only increases the brightness, as opposed to getting rid of the underlying grey tint.

It's difficult to say what causes this on your setup, there are many possible reasons:
    https://www.technewstoday.com/hdr-washed-out-windows/

You can always adjust the colors via post-effects or edit the image directly in a paint application and adjust it to your liking.

    Hi

Since you left a review and mentioned you're seeing a blurry image - have you changed the resolution of the texture? The native maximum is 8192x8192 pixels.
Afaik, Oculus Quest is not capable of "Linear" color space and therefore, the images have to be saved as PNG or JPG with Gamma-correction (e.g. from Photoshop or similar). We will include a non HDR-version of the skyboxes in the next release.

    Cheers
    Stefan

    Edit:

If you send us your invoice via email, we will give you access to the Gamma-adjusted skyboxes

We've just released version 2023.1.0 of all our 3D Skybox packages.
    Main changes:
    • SDR textures, materials and demo scenes added
    • Folder moved to Assets/3D Skybox
    • Texture import size changed to 4096x4096 pixels
    • Unnecessary code and assets removed

@hannahapz please try the new SDR versions of the skyboxes and let me know if it solves the issue
