This package contains a few scripts for making a vehicle controller based on Physics2D. With this asset you can quick start making your own 2D racing game. Just add your sprites and spend a few minutes to set up vehicle behavior and have fun!

    Features:

    • Easy to setup
    • Realistic physics
    • Mobile compatibility

    Hi,

Check out 144 code line in CarController2D.cs script. You will see region #UserInput where you can set your own car control input source. Also, read the documentation about Input Manager here: http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/Input.html

The latest Unity update seems to break rotation in this asset. The problem seems to go away if you disable all pivot SliderJoints, but then movement goes wonky.

    Yep same here using 4.5.2

Edit: Just found out how to fix it. The pivot GO has to have a collider attached. Since you don't want it to collider set it to trigger.

Can the accelerometer be used to control the vehicle's forward/back tilt?
