Where i can find good sets of 2d sprite characters that come in prooper sprite sheets with the correct grip setup?
I dont mind paying a bit. Its only for practicing but i prefer to do it with quality assets.

Well there are a few places you can check, google for one, most sprite sheets are in a format so they will be sliced really well with the automatic slice. I got a megaman spritesheet from google and it worked fine for me, just find one that have a small gap between the next sprite or something.

The best place for stuff like this, where everything is legit, free and is either public domain or a variant of Creative Commons, meaning usage for the assets you download is clearly explained therefore reducing the risk by a magnitude, of you using in your project assets that are copyright or not for commercial purposes.

Dude, what is the meaning of answering 'google'? There is a reason i am asking in this forum. If you dont like the question, why answer?

The reason i dont think those sheets work is that the automatic slice often creates different sized sprites, for example if a sprite is crouching and only takes up half the space the other sprites do.

You can find some really nice sprite sheets on Google. I don't think he meant what you're implying. Also, what's wrong with different sized sprites? Everything turns out okay in the end if they have the same pivot points.

Fiverr is ok if you want semi-decent sprites and their animations. I've picked up 72x72 sprites with basic animations for 5 dollars as filler elements.
