2D Platforming Navigation

    I just would like an idea of how to attack this. I would use multiplayer but I have no friends :( so this is the next best option.

    I'd start with a simple A* implementation, then work your way up from there if you need more powerful techniques.

    Not a bad idea, but first I would generelize where the pathfinding should be computed; i.e. define a set of pathfinding nodes preferably auto generated so you could just use any 2D map for your game.
