2D platform navigation

    Hi all, is it possible yet to use the NavMesh for a sidescroller? I read that it was something they were looking in to but it goes all quiet after April last year..? Any one got any info? Thanks for any help :)

    I imagine it'll greatly depend on the kind of gameplay you want.

    Sidescroller like The Legend of Zelda? Absolutely, I could whip that up in five minutes.
    Sidescroller like Super Mario World? Probably not, but why would you want to?

    :) Well I use the corgi engine so it is just a 2D world, not 2.5D. I haven't played either of those games so I don't know what the difference is really. The Corgi engine has some kind of pathfinding hidden in it's workings which I could probably use, but I'm here to investigate the options. I really don't think I need to pay out for something like A*, and I have a couple of programmers working with me who can sort something out, but if there's going to be 2D support released soon then there's no point wasting time when it could be spent doing something else
