Hi, i am making a 2d platform game and i found some kingdom hearts' sprites on this web site: http://www.spriters-resource.com/

Can i use that images for my game (and then publish this game) or not ?

    Thank you so much :)

[I don't know that this "part" is correct for this question, sorry]

I very much doubt that you do could that without breaching the copyright of companies with big lawyers with even bigger sticks. You might get away with it if your eventual game didn't sell but if you ever had *any* degree of success, they'd come after every bit of profit you'd have made.

Seriously, though, why would you want to? Half the pleasure of creating something is making it your own, even if that means putting a little work into creating sprites yourself. And if you become seriously in need of quality graphics, the world is bursting with artistic talent who'd happily do it for relatively very little money.

Thank you so much, for your answers :)
I wanted to use that sprites because i love Kingdom Hearts ahaha, and i am making this game alone, i am not able to create sprite... so i found a lot of images and thought to use them.
But if i publish that game for free, i don't earn any profit i can use or not ?

Can i just change the colors of dressed and hair ?

Or, for example, i have this picture

If I use from other photos the dresses, hair or something else and I add them to the man that is in the upper photo. Can i use it and publish ? or continue to have copyright ? :)
    Thank you

The question is really: are you DrawingWhite from DeviantArt or did you ask their permission to reproduce their work here? If you are, then you clearly don't need help creating original graphics. If not, then you're already infringing their copyright. You can't simply slightly alter other other people's work by changing the colours or putting clothes on them (taken from other copyrighted sources) and then claim it as your own. Let's assume it takes you 6 months to build your pseudo-Dragon Ball Z game which then becomes hugely successful. Would you then mind if I downloaded your game, recompiled (but with different coloured graphics and different wigs), and launched as my own?

Play safe and follow Bridin's excellent suggestion.
