2D MMO game support

    hello guys ,
    me and my friends are currently making a 2D MMO game
    with RPG maker style (top-down)

    but some of my friends said i should try to make the game in
    3D style rather than a full top-down MMO
    what you guys suggest ?

    which style you suggest for a MMO ?

    Is this your first game? I don't want to be mean but an MMO is a huge undertaking for a first project.
    Not the actual game, which can be as simple or complex as you choose, but managing a server, handling hundreds of concurent connections. Handling cheats, keeping all the players in sync with the server etc.

    If you mean a multiplayer rpg with like 5 or 6 players in a group ignore my post.

    yes its a MMO
    but i kinda have a few team members with me now

    2 - designers
    1 - UI designer
    2 - sound & music composers
    1 - website developer

    im currently looking for programmers for our team

    All of these are actually 3D games, and moving between them is just a matter of shifting the camera. For a 2D MMO check out realm of the mad god.

    I do have to ask what games has your team built before? MMOs are massive as first projects.
