Question 2D lighting works in one scene but not the other

Hi!
I have 2D lighting set up with the render pipeline, and it's working very well in other scenes, but it just doesn't work in the menu scene. I have no idea what setting could be different, but Sprite-Lit materials are always visible in the Menu scene, whereas they are properly dark when not lit in other scenes. I triple checked and there is no light source in the scene.
What could be causing this? Thanks!

 

Add a global light 2D with black color.
