    Hi,
my name is Julian and I'm from Germany.

    I was watching this Tutorial:
. It's really great and almost exactly what I'm looking for, except for the fact that I want to do all this stuff in 2d setup with an isometric map (it's not an option for me to do it in 3d mode with isometric camera setup because all my sprites are made for 2d).

As I'm new to programming and unity I don't find a solution on my own.
To give you an idea how I want my game to look like and how it should work I will show you 2 clips of an actual game called "Dofus" (it's a strategic turn based mmorpg) which will be my model for "my own game". One clip is about the character movement ouside of combat and the other about the combat behaviour. Also I will send you some sprites which I want to use to create my tiles/character.

If you could give me an idea on how to write the code for this two behaviours and give me a solution on how to set up my map (because I can't add MeshFilter/ MeshCollider to a 2d Sprite) it would be really nice.

Clip of click to move behaviour outside of combat:

If you need more info on the game "Dofus" you can download/play it for free: http://www.dofus.com/en/mmorpg/download

I'm looking forward to your reply.

On the new Tilemap system that Unity introduced recently ( in 2018 ), I don't unfortunately, I haven't got the time to explore it.
However, if you want to build the tilemaps on your own, the links that I provided 3 1/2 years ago still work and they do their job quite well, but it's a lot of manual work and I'm pretty sure Unity made it a bit easier to handle with their system., just google something along the lines of "Unity Tilemap click" and you will probably find a way to do it.

    Good luck
