Can someone with access to the U5 beta comment on whether U5 has 2D enhancements that make the upgrade worthwhile for a pro user? Preorder discount is getting close to expiring so have to make the decision soon. I am leaning towards "unity 5 pro too expensive to just be a 2d tool" at this point but if there are some killer 2d features that are in 5 and not in 4 I would still consider it.

In case it's not clear I have switched my 3d project to different engine what's why I am concerned only with 2D.

The release notes are here. You can skim it for 2D changes.

To me, it seems like the biggest changes will be to the 2D physics engine (which was outlined in the first video) and some added control over sprite vertices.

U5 also includes 4.6 changes, of course, which have massive changes to 2D as far as UI's go.

There's also improvements to non-2D-specific things that a 2D game would still use, like audio.

That's a good point I had forgotten about the audio system.
