ok so i want to apply an image to a surface and use that as the map for a 3d game (isometric view) only problem is the image doesnt seem to display correctly, the .png file is 4748x3020 and when i apply it to a cube i get the following quality

    quality issue.png
when i have a player character running over the surface no issues with the model or movements its just obviously the quality of what hes walking on.

any help will be much appreciated

PS i apologise if this is in the wrong section i was wracking my brain where to put it

The max texture size for Unity is 4096x4096.

For a few hours i still couldnt get it to work lol. I cropped the image so it was within the boundaries (<4096) until i realised in the inspector it had set the texture size as 1024x512 hense the drop in quality. I upped that to max and works perfectly thanks very much for your help
