I am new to making assets and have a strong background in digital illustration, so thought I would try my hand at it. I want to start selling some 2D characters on the store and have been learning the basics about the sprite editor, working with bones and rigging etc. I feel comfortable enough now to start the proper work after prototyping.

I wondered if anyone could give advice on developing and selling 2D assets that are rigged, but don't include animations themselves?

I can handle the artwork side of things easy, but learning to create animations for the package might be too technical for me.

Does anyone know if 2D assets that are rigged are popular, if they don't include animations?

Do people prefer to buy 2D assets that include everything ready to go? or maybe it does not matter either way?

I realize this is quite a broad question but I would appreciate it anyone had any tips or feedback, thanks!

well of course that ppl will prefer if everything is already done

to succeed in selling no one can tell you how, it happens by luck or if you have good advertise, or good reviews
maybe it works maybe not, u never know until u try
