    Title:
    Escher's

    Inspiration:
The idea came during a night where I had trouble to fall asleep. I was inspired by one of the famous drawings of MC Escher and the puzzle house in "The Vanishing of Ethan Carter". So I came up with the idea of making a puzzle game holding both of these components.

    Genre:
    (Mind Blowing) Puzzle platformer.

    Goal:
After entering a room you must find the exit. The exit however might be an a ceiling, floor, or wall. In order to exit you must align your gravitational axis with that of the exit. A room has many stairs, doors, portals, moving platforms, levers, etc. After exiting a portal/door you become aligned with the gravitational direction of the said door/portal which might be completely different from the one you entered. By this you can solve the puzzle of getting to the exit in the correct angle.

    TOTAL Time spent so far:
    2014-12-24: 4H35 Mins
    2014-12-25: 7H04 Mins

    Demo's:
    Not yet

    Twitch stream:

    Next stream scheduled: TBA

    Other stuff:
    • Why do you do Challenges?
I like to do challenges for myself to speed up sudden bursts of creativity. Using a time limit to see how far I will get.
    • How do you count the 24H?
Due to practical reasons I will develop for 24 hours but not in one single session. The 24 hours are the hours spend in development. So I can for instance do 3 blocks of 8 Hours, or two blocks of 12 hours as long as the total time is 24 hours.
    • What happens after the 24H?
I will put the game ready to download or play in a webplayer for Free at http://www.peculiardeveloper.com. Some in between versions will be uploaded as well for others to experiment with. I might continue developing after the 24H but that will not be part of the challenge.
    • Can I help?
Spread the news! Give ideas in this thread or twitch chat! Donate for assets or just to brighten up my day! If you are a developer as well you can send me an asset via the Unity Asset Store Publisher page! Do note that the assets must be logical to use in the challenge (e.g. a game about prehistoric times shouldn't have cellular phones).

When I saw the drawing, I was expecting that kind of visual. The demo remind me of Portal.

The visuals are temporarily because they are based in the DAP package. This is more of a tech demo to display the mechanica. The definitive visuals are too determined.

For those who are interested, the stream is online.

Edit: Stream is offline for a second. Moving my 3ds max install from my Laptop to my PC. Since I only have 1 license.

Edit 2: Used a student license to continue.
