    Hi everybody,

With the initial release of 2022.2.0b1 (feature highlights) on July 13, we are also kicking off our accompanying beta sweepstakes, which give you the chance to win one of five one-year Unity Pro licenses.

To enter the draw, all you have to do is identify and report at least one original bug during the 2022.2 beta cycle while the submission period is open. The contest is open from Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at 6:00 am PST, and the submission period ends Sunday, October 9, 2022, at 11:59 pm PST.

An original bug is one that has not yet been reported at the time of submission and has been reproduced and acknowledged by Unity as a bug. Make sure to add #Beta2022Win_Unity to your bug reports to make it clear that you'd like to enter the sweepstakes. Every additional valid submission increases your odds of winning, but no participant can win more than one prize.

If you entered a valid submission while the submission period was open but didn’t initially tag it with #Beta2022Win_Unity, you can still do that retroactively until the end of the submission period by replying with the tag to the confirmation email you received after submitting the report.

No purchase is necessary. Void where prohibited. See the full rules here. We will contact the winners directly.

these are nice, but personally would be more interested if the prices were similar to previous sweepstakes (gpu's or other items), since that would be (more) useful for already existing plus/pro users too..

Pro licenses cost them nothing though, while gpus cost money. You can't expect them to spend money on things that are secondary to their business.

Sounds like it might have been a good idea to have kept some staff to QA and find/fix bugs.

We don't spend money on our side products, especially when suckers our beloved users can do that work for free.

As rumour has it, next year instead of pro licenses they will you send you a photo of Riccitiello as thanks for bug reports

Anyone who needs pro, has pro, because #licensing. So why would someone need this? Further, aren't pro users locked to a yearly contract subscription now by default - meaning even if they are a pro user, and need pro, they probably couldn't use this anyway?

I've been given "free" pro licenses from Unity in the past - the redemption system was broken, and we never got our licenses - even after endless support emails.

I would rather a $10 coffee card... or an Unreal asset pack :)

I think it should be as a coupon. Activating it when one sees fit. But like lloydsummers said, it is subject to the system so... I don't know. For something like this, it should really be appearing on account (coupon) so they don't get lost or Unity system does not recognize it.

Well, I found a couple o bugs in unity 2021, and my work has unity pro and I don't have a personl pro version. It'd be super hard to convince work managers to use a beta version of unity, for the soul purpose of getting me a free pro version unity. We're primarily doing an engineering app in webgl, with crazy shaders, and building it in linux, so I think finding bugs in that environment would be pretty easy.

For me, there are bugs for my building and playing issues well these are the bugs I am saying:

for building sometimes when I close it doesn't autosave Even when I try adding a script or something like that to my windows registry that auto saves it

for playing: sometimes a lag spike comes in when I try to play it
