2022.1.0a7 graphical issues in Play mode on Mac with M1 chip

I am currently still learning to fully use Unity, but I tried opening a copy of my latest test project, and entering Play mode causes serious graphics issues on an M1 Mac.
The exact same project works perfectly fine in 2021.2.0b10 on the same Mac.
Both versions of Unity are the Apple Silicon build.
The 2022 alpha has the screen mode not correct (seems zoomed in), and there are glitches around the edge of the play window, and even in the title bar of the play window.
Both versions also appear to be using Apple Metal graphics, according to the title bar.
