2019.3.0a12 (and earlier versions I think) - Grey bar on the top of the game view in play mode

Am I the only one to have that grey bar up there? Will it be removed one day or another?

Please let this be a bug and not space reserved to show ads

 

For the reference, I've never seen this in my paid Unity sub (using 2019.3.0a12 as well)

 

It's probably black in your case.

 

Yeah I've also never seen anything like this.

Have you tried resetting your layout?

 

Your image shows the editor in play mode? This is where I have that bar, otherwise it's not there.

 

No difference. I work on Windows 10. Default layout.

 

For me, the grey bar shows up only in play mode.

Trial version? What's that?

 

I suspect that is because I have Plus subscription. No problems with it otherwise.

 

I have, no changes.

This gray bar shows up only in play mode, if "maximise on play" is true.

I could do that but I guess nobody will be able to reproduce it, so I just won't.

If unity did that they would lose a large portion of their die-hard longtime supportive users overnight, so I really hope they have the brains to never do this. Never ever do this.

 

Me too. It wouldn't make much sense either.

 

I was also having this issue as well, it does seem to somehow be tied to whether or not the game tab is Maximized because when it's not there is no gray bar above the game view (Even in 2019.3.0b1)

 

Yes, same here. The reproduce is simple:

• Press PLAY
• Right-click Game View tab and choose Maximize

Did anybody submitted a bug-report for this already, as asked for a few posts above?

 

No need, 2019.3 is out of alpha now.

However, the bug must be reported for 2019.3.0b1, since the grey bar is still there...

 

The ugly bar has disappeared in 2019.3.0b2. Thanks to whoever fixed it! :d
