2018.4.13 Building asset bundles just hangs and never completes

    Trying to build asset bundles on 2018.4.13.
    Same task on windows/OSX takes about 15 minutes.

    On linux it just hangs - CPUs seem to be busy but after 24 hours waiting still nothing built, just hanging.

    you're way luckier than me, 2018.x never worked here...

    You need to get proper lucky with the linux distribution and installed packages. I tried ubuntu 18.04, ubuntu 19.1 and no joy at all. Then I tried Linux Mint 18 Cinammon, installed the unity pre-req packages for linux and it works - all be it really really badly with quite a lot of issues. I can at least build my project - sometimes.
