The link looks weird. Upload the video to youtube and post it here instead.

The link takes you to some odd Chinese video streaming site.

Regardless, I'm very confused yet intrigued about this project. Looks interesting, I'm just not sure I understand it fully.

I think it's some kind of augmented reality thing. You play with your webcam. It looks really interesting from a programming point of view but judging by the people in the video it doesn't look to fun to play ;)

Thank you for your attention! Regretfully, network in mainland China blocked youTube...

Let me introduce the project briefly. Using unity3d+kinect2, it creates some interactions between real persons and virtual animals according to their positions. For example, if you touch the bear with your foot, the bear will move accordingly; if you jump, the ice will break; and if you touch the ball passed by the seal, it will be passed back; if you touch the penguin, it will go away or jump back to the water. But the pictures in the camera are still terrible (my working place) , so some real decorations will be added to coordinate with the virtual scenes.

What the project wants to generally convey are as follows:

Firstly, the shadow of the word “help” in standby mode will convey that the North Pole badly needs human beings’ help and care.

Then, show people’s help by the subtitles in each scene.

Scene 1: the polar bears are living a hard life, but with human beings keeping their company, they will forget their troubles temporarily!

Scene 2: Every jump from human beings is like a damage of the ecosystem in the North Pole. Let us feel the anger from the polar bears and leave them more ice.

Scene 3: The seals pass some red-white balls expecting to play with us human beings and get along with us harmoniously.

Scene 4: With climate becoming warmer, let’s help penguins to swim back in the water to get cool.

Finally, I would appreciate it if you gave some suggestions. What troubles me most is that the project is said to abuse animals. (Mainly refer to the touching with foot on the bears and the penguins)

I was proposing multiple interpretations of the underlying message in the demo shown. Thanks for clarifying it and it looks very good so far.
