    Hi All,

First of all, happy new year to everybody!

The new year has started and that is always a good moment to look back to the last year, and forward to the next. What did you achieve in 2013, and what do you hope to achieve in 2014?

    Topic starter kicks off:
    - 2013
    - Did my first Ludum Dare and finished a game for the first time!
    - Started a buttload of way too ambitious projects that i will probably never finish :( Did figure out that most people in here are probably right about the "start small, work your way up" thing... ;)

    - 2014
    - My goal for the coming year is to start and finish 2 medium sized game projects, which should take no more than 5 months each.
    - Another goal is that i want to participate in at least 2 ludum dare events and finish both of those as well.

My new years resolution is to complete a major project. It's a big project guys but when finished it will mark the end of forum Trolls throughout the Intern.......... Wait.... I'm daydreaming again, heck not even God can stop them. Why do you think the dude's legged it?

    Happy New Year all! :)

I have the bad habit of making games totally playable and fun, then moving onto my next idea and saying just a short break and i will go back and finish it. I guess it comes from I make games for fun and have a job.

One of the guys I work with always looks forward to this weeks prototype to play.

For me, prototypes always seem enjoyable.
Maybe because I am under the impression that it's not "perfect", its just fun.

For a change this year I want the following:

    1. I want to make more personal game assets/art
    2. I do do NOT want to make a game this year
    3. I want to spend at least an hour or two learning C#
    3. Fiddle with the Rift for fun.

Having developed 2 of my own games (one of which you may know is "The Other Brothers") and having helped many others with their games I feel like taking a step back to build up my personal portfolio :)

Dude, you can totally do it. You're like, the Obi-Wan here, teaching us to Use the Unity.

Obi-Wan McYou*: "MMORPGs can deceive you, don't trust them!"
Obi-Wan Youkobi**: "Who is more foolish, the person who makes a full JRPG solo, or the person who creates another Slenderman clone?"

*: You didn't actually say this.
**: You didn't really say this, either.

Jokes aside, I think you can. You have a link to your WIP thread?

Equally serious: you do sort of have the Obi-Wan Kenobi beard going on there...

    - No more hiring dud people. Seriously.

    - Breaking down projects into manageable 3 month projects.
