    We're taking this down right away, and no way, absolutely no way on earth: as a gross violation of our terms of service, this publisher won't be earning a stinking dime from it. We absolutely hate this kind of behavior and will do whatever we can to take people who violate these rules down.

    Nice, this asset creates a lot of confusion, because someone may buy assuming the publisher has got the rights from the Ludum original creator and that is why it is beeing sold.

    We used the code in our project and the ip owner sent us a content infringement complaint.
    We understand the position of the copyright owner and we do not know how to prove that we violated the copyrights unconsciously. We hope that Unity can help us.

    did they actually sell that code in the asset store, if not i dont see how unity should be responsible for it.

    If you buy a stolen car, you don't get to keep it when the original owner comes looking, even if you were unaware that it was stolen. Not a lawyer and all that, but I would guess the same applies here...you have to delete the stolen assets even though you bought them in good faith. Unity banned the violator and removed the assets from the store once they were made aware of the issue, which is probably the extent of what they can do.
