    Hi,

I won't ask Unity specific questions in this thread, I am looking about general solutions (algorithms names, plugins, library, etc). I have recently read this article and I have to say I'm surprised by the result of their lightening system. I'm wondering how this is possible using sprites only.
I especially wonder how they can simulate the height of the objects. For example on the top left corner of the image bellow, it looks like the window's light if behind the cupboard.

Is their a famous way of doing this that I missed in my searches ?

Edit : Would it be possible to use a heightmap to distort the window's light sprite ?
