    Realistic Engine Sounds asset is a DYNAMIC ENGINE SOUND controller asset that contain engine sound wav files and controller scripts where you can easly set your sound file's pitch and volume in Curve Editor windows from low rpm to maximum rpm.

    All versions have demo scenes and prefabs.

    Optimised: All engine types create Audio Sources from 1 to 5 at a time (this depending on the engine pack's settings). Mobile version may create less audio sources at a time.
    This numbers are depending on "Optimisation Level" settings.

    Please do BMW M Inline 6, Honda Inline 4 aka Vtec, Sick Turbo Sounds from JDMs such as Blow Off Valve Whistles, Subaru Boxer 4, Porsche Boxer 6, Nissan V6, Nissan I6, Toyota I6, JDM V6, Rotary, F1, etc.

    I will add support for Edy's, RCC is already supported. I packed prefabs and demo scene inside a .unitypackage for RCC and Standard Unity Car.
    I will do a research for automatic integration, I'm not sure is this possible.

    Unfortunately I don't have that asset and this asset is not available any more in the asset store. If you can send me a demo project with that asset I can make a controller script for that and release it in the next update.

    Thank you both for the source I will add support for this asset too in the next update!

    Pro version will come in november. I work a little slowlly, because I have other jobs to do (physical jobs). I will post a reply here when I submited it to the asset store. Review time can take from 3 days to 3-4 weeks.

    I would like to share some progress:

    RES and RES_mobile scripts are rewriten, they destroy audio sources that have 0 volume and recreate it when volume is more than 0. This make it more compatible with mobile devices, it may not play more than 1 - 2 or 3 audio sources at a time for one engine sound.
    Added more settings for RES script, to make it sound more realistic:
    - Gas pedal value: (1 = 100% pressing, 0.5 = 50% pressing, 0 = 0% pressing)
    - Gas pedal value setting: (simulated or manual. Manual setting is good for joystick controlled games. Simulated setting is smoothly pressing the gas pedal automatically at shifting (except Unity Car) and when releasing and then pressing again the gas pedal)
    - Gas pedal sim speed: (when gas pedal value setting is set to simulated this is the speed for automatic gas pedal pressing)
    - Min distance: (Within the Min distance the AudioSource will cease to grow louder in volume)
    - Max Distance: (MaxDistance is the distance a sound stops attenuating at)

    Modified all engine sounds prefab's settings for better and more realistic engine sounds.
    Added support for Edy's Vehicle Physics.
    Added support for Randomation Vehicle Physics 2.
    Modified the controller scripts for all currently supported vehicle physics. It automatically set everything to make RES working for your car. Just simply drag and drop the prefab on your car and that's all, you can test it right away!
    Currently working on new engine sounds for Pro version, and on demo scenes.
    Update is comming soon for Lite and Plus version. (only demo scenes and prefabs updates left, and demo scenes for EVP and RVP left to do).

    With this you can set the minimum volume for currently played audio sources. Audio source's will be destroyed if volume value is below this value. It can be set from 0 to 0,25.

    Realistic Engine Sounds v1.1 Lite and Plus versions are submited to the Asset Store (Updates are now released). Pro version is still in development.
    New prices:
    - Lite: $17.00
    - Plus: $51.00
    Those who already bought RES, don't need to pay to get the updated version.
    Why new prices? Because I added support for 2 more car controllers. There was a lot work in the demo scenes and controller scripts + had to buy one more car controller.
    Later the price will grow to originally planned price (see forum pool above), by the price growing will add more engine sounds for Lite and Plus versions too.

    That engine sound is great! Was it a custom sound package imported into RES, or is the sound in that video achievable with RES Lite alone by tweaking the settings?

    In that video RES Lite is used after 0:30. That engine sound is the classic american v8 prefab from RES Lite.
    You can hear the same engine sound prefab in my video from 0:16

    Are you using other sounds for "interior camera" or are you modulating external one?

    For full spectrum of sounds you can also add trucks, rally/racing cars (not only stock cars).

    I'm using other sounds for interior.
    In the next update I add two more prefabs for each current engine packs. This prefabs have different settings and higher pitch for maximum rpm. This gives more aggresive sound for each engine packs.
    There will be more engine sounds in the Pro version wich is still in development. Currently 16 engine packs are finished for Pro version, like rotary engines, more german and japanese i6, more v8 engines and bike engine sound packs. More sound packs and turbo sounds will be finished soon.
    Some of the sound packs will come for Plus version too, some will be free for everyone and will be added to Lite and Plus versions.

    An v1.2 update is released for RES Lite and Plus.

    Release notes:
    - Added two new, free engine packs "rotary_x8_free" and "i6_german_free. This sound packs soon will be available for free in the Asset Store
    - Added "Street" and "Track" prefabs for all engine packs. This prefabs use the same wav files, but with different settings and higher maximum pitch values
    - Added "Start Engine" sounds for all engine packs
    - All engine off sound files are remastered
    - New maxRPM and int_maxRPM sound files for v8_italian and v10_italian engine packs
    - Added a feature to set sound clips to "None", with this feature you can create prefabs with only 2-3 wav files for better optimisation on mobile devices
    - Added Street and Track prefabs to demo scenes
    - Added "Gas Pedal" button to "Slider" demo scenes for better engine sound simulation
    - Some stock prefabs have new settings
    - Added a new demo scene for RCC_V3 "CAMERA_RCC_with_RES"
    - Added a new controller script for RCC_V3 "RCC_RES_camera". This controller script automatically switch between exterior and interior engine sounds when camera is changed. This script also fix the "shaking" car sound bug for TPS, FPS and FIXED camera views.
    - Added a new demo scene for EVP "CAMERA_EVP5_with_RES"

    I bought this package yesterday and it's awesome.
    I had a slight bug using it with the RVP prefab where I was getting a lot of audio artifacts with AI cars in my game.

    changing the code for each CreateClip() method from this:

    Fixed the problem.

    Also, The reverse gear sound effect is missing from the RVP prefab. I fixed this by dragging the sound clip across in the inspector.

    Thank you for your bug report. I will add this fix for next release. I tested the prefabs too, and in Lite version the reverse sounds are not set in RVP prefabs. I forgot to set it. I will fix this too for next release.

    Here is a Work In Progress video from RES Pro. In this video you can see what so far done. New engine sounds and features are added.

    All RES PRO controller scripts are finished.

    - Added an option to set Master Volume (can reduce engine sounds volume)
    - Added an option to set maximum pitch value (this may replaces the "Street" and "Track" prefabs. Modify this option to make your car sound different)
    - Added an option to add reverb zone with a preset
    - Modified the logic behind rpm limiting. If you disable rpm limiting no need to modify "High Vol Curve" any more (Because of this I need to remake all prefabs, but it worth it.)
    - Removed "Max RPM Pitch Curve", script now using high rpm's pitch curve for rpm limiting
    - Removed "High Vol Reversing Curve", script now using "High Vol Curve"'s value for reversing
    - Added 16 car sound packs
    - Added 110 wav files for gear changing
    - Added controller scripts for turbo, supercharger, gear changing, straight cut gearbox sounds. Gear changing and straight cut gearbox have two types off scripts. One that use only one wav file and the other one use multiple wav files for more random sound effect.

    This controller scripts are simple. Just drag and drop on your RES prefab.

    Whats left to do:
    - More sound files for turbo, supercharger and straight cut gear
    - More car sound packs (~10 more are planned)
    - Prefabs for car sound pack, gear changing, turbo, supercharger and straight cut gearbox
    - Update demo scenes with the new prefabs
    - Scripts for demo scenes

    Creating prefabs and setting them up in demo scenes takes a lot time!

    That's all I remember. If I forgot something, I later update this post.

    Yes, there will be an upgrade price from Lite to Pro. You don't need to pay full price for Pro if you bought Lite or Plus.

    For release price I'm planning 149 usd, ~40 car sound packs + 2 free car sound packs. This sound packs worth is 200 usd and not to mention the controller scripts and sound files for turbo, supercharger, shifting and straight cut gear.
    Later this price will go up with new updates and car sound packs.

    Glad to hear that you want to preorder it, but I'm afraid that preordering is not possible in the Asset Store and I'm not allowed to sell assets outside of the Asset Store.
