After learning Unity for the past week, I've made something playable. http://exactlysimilar.org/~simon/unity/kj3.html It's not a complete game, as there are no win conditions or extra meta-game. Yet.
Do you have the latest webplayer installed? I only know of this issue, when a webplayer is not up to date with the loaded project.
Oops, sorry. I forgot my feedback I really like your game. It made me play for quite a while. It took a while until i recognized, that i could also click on the second and third row. Nice concept! The option to rotate the field is great, but it should work in both directions in my opinion. Great work so far! Cheers Frank
Euhm, concerning player version. Shouldn't the player update automatically if its an old one ? I tried one the same machine some webplayers I made yesterday and these work. And on the unity3d website I didn't find a standalone install of latest player. Maybe I should go look a little better
Nice work. A clever "spin" on an old favorite. (I'm sorry, I had to go there.) Great work for just 1 week with Unity. Looking forward to seeing more experiments.
this does NOT work on Internet Explorer on windows machines. I analysed your html code on the webpage. About 10 lines from the bottom, it clearly mentions <param name="src" value="Unity Player.unity3d" /> This should be <param name="src" value="kj3.unity3d" /> Could you change this ? Kind regards, Bart
Nice game..I like it. My only comment is on the camera. I'd let the user have more control over it so that they can see the cube from the top and bottom as well as the side.
Nice game, definitely good work for 1 week. One note, you can get the most points by holding down space and spamming clicks.
looks good and feels like the genre it is promoting. good work mate. tested in safari v3.11 on g5 dual ppc 2500 9800ATI
Nice work mate. This is another incredibly simple game that sends my cooling fan into hyperdrive. Should we all try and use that cpu stepper/limiter script to keep our cool? Just wondering. AC
I like the concept. It didn't recognize a diagonal line front-to-back and the spacing feels a little wrong to me. Great job.
cool! I think it would be more intuitive if you could click-drag anywhere on the background to rotate the camera.
Cool little game! Hm... the only mechanic I'd change is the camera, so it rotates faster, you mostly just need 90 degree increments, so there could be keys for +/- 90 deg "quick rotation" (this could be nicely implemented with Mathf.Lerp or even SmoothStep). As well perhaps -as etoiles mentioned- a mouse drag style camera rotation would be cool too. So basically clicking would do the same as before, but doing a mouse drag would result in a camera move as if you'd browse a postcard carousel stand in a shop
I like the idea, sort of looks like bejeweled , just needs better camera/rotational control, and should let you know when there are no moves left. Shuffle ability would be cool too.
