Yes my second problem was solved by downsampling 4k video to 3840x1920, which made me to run two videos simultaneously.
Thanks, I was able to run 2 videos with one as 3840x1920 stereo which was downsampled from 4096 × 2048 and another planar video with 720p resolution.

If you have followed all the right steps from here, then it should have worked. Try checking for adb logcat errors on your device.
