I don't know where you saw that but it's not true! In fact two of the integration packages (Mirror and FMOD Recording) were updated just 3 days ago!

That's odd, no one else has ever reported anything like that! Do you hear the same when you acitvate with other modes (e.g. push-to-talk)?
Dissonance should work on Hololens2 and with PUN/Bolt/Fusion networking (note that Dissonance replaces Photon Voice though).
