Apologies, it wasn't async. In ObjImporter.cs, look for public static IEnumerator ImportInBackground(...). It's a coroutine. Hope that helps!
Have a look through the loading functions, there's one with "Async". That should load it without the stutter.
How long is the freeze? Permanent or temporary? The importer just parses the huge OBJ string, so it can hog the main thread and hold everything up...
Yes. Watch out for memory usage with large files though, your app might crash if the OBJ is big.
