Unity water is a big issue and I don't understand why it is being taken so lightly.
As a proof, even the relevant documentation...
So, I haven't tested it myself yet, but is it safe to say that with Water4 all buoyancy scripts are now obsolete?
I use particle texture but it's still wip. Andeeee's method above is pretty accurate
unfortunately, this doesn't look good at all when there are waves in the ocean shader... So, the projector is the only way to go.
