You even should attach a rigidbody component to all gameObjects (with a collider component) which are moved. If you don't want to deal with forces...

I would recommend to use a tube with inverted normals. You can do this in your modelling application.
In e.g. Blender enter the Edit mode...
You have to use a image for the background color.
