After many months I have again quickly tested Bakery against Unitys GPU baker on current Unity 2020.1.0f1 (introducing RussianRoulette).
(New) AssetStore doesn´t show bakery:
Bakery plugin allows 5 bounces and I can see better/more realistic results than rendered with 4 bounces.
You missunderstand the information from the docs. You can import the formats at runtime, I personnally use IFC for runtime archviz imports....
Also clients can (e.g. edit settings for archviz), that´s why I use JSON
