Can you take a look inside the apk and verify if the version is set correctly?
An apk is just a zip file so you can open it with any archive utility.
I don't think it's the Unity VSCode extension to blame here. You need an extension to understand C#, like OmniSharp iirc.

Making TextContent/GUIContent static may fix the issue.
Can you ask her to submit a bug report if she hasn't done that yet ?
