It's happening to me on Unity 5.1.1f
I found out that's because on editor it always tries to load the 32 bit dll.
I was able to get it working by replacing some #if in the scripts....

I submitted my app using Unity 4.6.2p2 free and it seems to work fine. Or at least Apple accepted it and nobody complained yet :) I had to apply...
Two app updates of mine with the fix proposed on this thread have been approved by Apple :)
I don't think they are, but this is my first bug report to the Unity team so I'm not entirely sure

I'm having the same issue on Unity 4.6.2p2 + XCode 6.1.1

4.6.2p2 is out and this is on the release notes:

So I suppose it could be...
It's marked as fixed in 4.6.3, so voting is disabled now :)

Unfortunately with 4.6.2p1 the game still crashes on iOS 5, it just happens later.
I'm not in a hurry to release this update so I'll probably just...
The 4.6.2p1 patch seems to be working for me: no more crashing right after the splash screen on iOS 5.
I'll test the game a little more to be sure...
