Yes, what I meant by "my tweens not finishing" has nothing to do with timescale independence.
Using "useEstimatedTime" woks perfectly for that....
I just removed "*Time.timeScale" in line 1037 1046 since my tweens were never finished if the game was pasued during tweening.
